    Radiation City - Park

Portland’s Radiation City came recommended by a close friend last week, and after feeling this familiarity to their tunes, I did a little homework. It turns out the same band members also formed the project The Soap Collectors whom I wrote about last year. Like The Soap Collectors, Radiation City’s album The Hands That Take You is also carried by singer Elisabeth Ellison’s impressive chops and genre-blending instrumentals. My current favorite, “Park” is one of the more explosive tracks on the album. Check them out at Hemlock Tavern on Tuesday with locals Phantom Kicks and Ash Reiter.
